The Exchange Club of Murphy, Texas is a Community Service organization devoted to the ideals of the American spirit. We encourage our children with our Youth Programs, we respect our country with our Americanism Program, and we fight for the rights of abused children with our Child Abuse Prevention Campaigns. Author To Present Map To Better Health
Exchange Club Luncheon Features Award-Winning Author
(Murphy, TX) - The Exchange Club of Murphy will host award-winning author Alan E. Smith at its September 14th meeting. "Since it's difficult to be of service to others when your health, or the health of a loved one is challenged, I often speak to service organizations," said Mr. Smith. The second edition of the local author's book How To UnBreak Your Health was published a few weeks ago to very positive reviews. The new version features a user-friendly format along with 339 listings in 150 different categories of complementary and alternative health. In addition Mr. Smith hosts the UnBreak Your Health podcast program which offers a 20-minute MP3 featuring leaders in the field of complementary and alternative medicine at www.unbreakyourhealth.com.
The Exchange Club is the only local service organization in Murphy. It involves men and women interested in making the community and the nation better. Exchange Clubs sponsor a wide range of activities to improve the community, help the disadvantaged and encourage good citizenship. The organization's national project is Child Abuse Prevention. Club members also develop leadership, networking and organizational skills. The group meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month at the Murphy Country Burger at Murphy Road and 14th Street.
